The Gurkha Kukri is possibly the most recognizable and famous fighting knife ever developed. Indigenous to the mountain Kingdom of Nepal, home of the Gurkha who were “absorbed” into the British sphere of influence with the Treaty of Sagauli in 1816. These ferocious fighters were infamous for their valor and for using the kukri an amazing “Tool of Death”. It is a forward leaning leaf shaped blade, which provided the user with leveraged striking power. Introduced long before the British arrived in the early 19th century, the Kukri became standard equipment for Gurkha Regiments serving in the British Army. Ironically the earliest Kukris are the largest, these days many kukris comes with so much extra feature with chopping power .This is beautiful Survival tactical American Eagle Kukri knife. The name; American Eagle derives from the Eagle which is national Symbol of United States, the handle shape is eagle and back spine of the blade has; sharp on upper spine rigid has dragon shaped spine. This is very newly design kukri keeping cultural values of the blades weight and balance. The blade is made of Train Track Graded Carbon steel and Handle is made from water buffalo horn that is unique compared to other kukri, the metal of the blade in the handle area is flat(full tang) and can be seen all around the handle. For the scabbard two pine woods is cotton wrapped with Buffalo hide. It has two pockets on the back of the scabbard which hold a blunt steel called “chakmak” for sharpening the blade or for striking spark from flint and a little knife known as “karda” used for skinning small animals such as rabbits. The notch (kauri or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most kukri serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out, thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade. The scabbard has single flat- frogs which are leather loops uses attach to the belt.
